Primaterra provides comprehensive landscape architecture services tailored to commercial projects. We blend design excellence, technical rigor, and sustainable practice to create outdoor environments that support business goals, enhance user experience, and meet regulatory requirements.
What we deliver:
Site analysis and feasibility: Thorough assessments of site conditions, regulatory constraints, utility coordination, microclimate, soil, hydrology, and existing vegetation to define opportunities and constraints early in the process.
Master planning and conceptual design: Clear, executable plans that organize site program, circulation, parking, entries, service zones, amenity spaces, and planting concepts to optimize functionality and visual identity.
Construction documentation and specifications: Precise construction drawings, planting plans, grading and drainage details, material and plant schedules, and technical specifications that reduce change orders and facilitate bidding and permitting.
Permitting and agency coordination: Preparation and submittal of documentation for municipal approvals, environmental reviews, compliance with stormwater and landscape ordinances, and coordination with utilities and other agencies.
Irrigation and water management: Efficient irrigation design, stormwater management strategies, bioswales, permeable paving, and low-impact development (LID) solutions to meet sustainability targets and local code requirements.
Planting design and ecological strategies: Site-appropriate plant palettes emphasizing native and drought-tolerant species, habitat enhancement, seasonal interest, and maintenance efficiency to support long-term performance and resilience.
Site engineering and grading: Integrated grading, drainage, retaining walls, and ADA-compliant circulation design that resolve site constraints while preserving design intent.
Lighting and site furnishings: Thoughtful selection and placement of exterior lighting, seating, bicycle facilities, signage, and amenities that shape the user experience and extend site usability into evening hours.
Construction administration: On-site observation, submittal review, and contractor coordination to ensure construction aligns with design intent and quality standards.
